I’ve been trying to remember… it was pretty cool (windy) that day. I love the Atlantic coast. Very different from the beaches I knew growing up.

I want to swim in it because it is quiet and still and looks like something wonderful is about to break the surface – a mermaid or a selkie. And now I see a bird skimming the surface.
I think I like it because it is so difference from an Aus. beach: no surf, no glare, no people.
