Remembered the hole in my heart that can only be filled by The Dandy Warhols when I saw their amazing “The Last High” in Michael Winterbottom’s 9 Songs (2004)—a perfect choice for illuminating a difficult story. It turns out their latest album, “Earth to the Dandy Warhols” went on sale a week ago as an independent release. They’re taking a novel approach: a 12-month subscription for US $35, which gets you the MP3s, a CD and a special poster in the mail, access to advance ticket sales, and additional audio and video downloads throughout the year. Sounds vaguely like a software license. Physical media’s not a big draw card for me, so I’m going to wait and see, but good on them for trying something new.

Well, they’ve never filled a hole in my heart but Bohemian Like You is an excellent song to have in your ears as you walk to work on cold mornings. Sometimes I even sing, which is horrible.
